Can we have gloperators remove compo entries that do not comply before voting begins? I know PretzlKing has mentioned this before but it seems to be something that needs to be done.

Take for example the SC Spirit Compo. There were only 3 rules but I was constantly presented with having to choose between images that had nothing to do with the subject, image loads that were not shown as wips, or both. Voting should be a decision of which image you think is better rather than which image should actually be there in the first place.

Maybe if you have an image removed from a compo you can resubmit it if it's before the cut off date and you have made it comply with whatever rules are stated.

I uhm also think it's better if we have one entry per artist (where we get to choose ourselves which we want in the compo). One time I was presented with a few choices from the same artist in the bundle. I happen to love them all, which is okay, but still would have been better, imho, if we had more variety and got to choose from the bestest of everyone.

I agree Lydia, I definitely prefer the idea of one entry per artist. I understand that people are trying to give themselves a better chance, especially in the compos where the prizes are so big, but fewer entries would make it easier for gloperators to check for compliancy

I agree with one entry per artist. I think everyone should put one best sketch forward. You can submit more than one, but when you submit a new one, any previous entry is automatically removed.

And I definitely agree with having Gloperators remove sketches that either do not follow the rules or have anything to do with the compo. It's very frustrating when you get four choices that either disregard the rules or are not related to the compo subject.

Personal Best is probably going to have over 1000 entries, and I think that, considering only a couple hundred people vote in compos, that the algorithm has to get less and less accurate as the number of entries goes up...

sorry the entries arent pruned faster. quite a lot do get disqualified but it happens throughout the week so you'll find closer to the voting deadline the entries you see in your ballot are more in line with the rules. a nice thing the server does is when you choose to update your vote your ballot options are updated so any entries that had been disqualified since you first cast your vote are removed and other options substituted. so if you cast an early vote and found a lot of chaff you can update later in the week to get more wheat

oh entering more sketches doesnt help your prize odds at all since each person only gets one of there sketches considered for prizes. this seems like a nice compromise between only one entry per artist and avoiding tirzah entering 50 sketches to instawin the prizes haha i'm not opposed to doing more one entry per artist compos though. the idea to have it where when you enter a sketch it autoremoves any previous entry of yours is hreat!

@pharmgirl..it's ok to use photo for reference...and temp didn't draw all the same...it's a fun sketch made on his/her way...
