....combine elements from different sketches into one sketch without using image load?
Like if I have a background that I want to use, and I have a part of another sketch I would like to add to that background is it possible to,combine them without one of them being an image load?
I've never tried so I have no idea if it's even possible. I know you can email in SC format but can you combine sketches that way?

No, but this whole 'image loads are evil' thing is silly anyway. It is just a tool. Indicate it in your description and use whatever features you need to use.

Thanks Artigan, but that's not why I was asking.
Just curious of it was possible. I sure don't want this thread to get hijacked into another discussion on "image loads: Pro or con"?

Ha ha ha..please no more image load treads!!!!!!

As of now there is no way to do this, Virgil. It has been suggested to BP, though, and it is something he plans on incorporating in a future update. So if you are halfway done with a sketch and want to use something from an old sketch, or just want to mashup a few different sketches, you will be able to do it without an image load!
-
Thanks PK! That's exactly what I was talking about. I've got several different pieces that I'd like to put together into one piece and the option to do so would be great!
No point in using an image load of your own sketch.

that idea would really fit for a compo i was thinking... a massive co op compo... 100 sketches merged into one big sketch in the end

My problem when I try to incorporate old sketches done in sc , is sometimes I havent merged all the layers as it still destroys the effects I want , so when I try to reload them it erases the one I am working on and Loads all the layers that I did not merge so I have found it impossible to do

If you export to photos, with transparency, the result will be a 'correct' merge, even if you have dodge layers and such that don't merge down correctly. Then you can image load from photos to get the result back in SC for incorporation into a new sketch. Sometimes it's the only way because, as Cowgirl said, merge down doesn't always work right and destroys the effects. But export to photos with transparency will merge all the layers correctly into one.

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. The results have been pretty good so far. I would rather a couple of those steps be eliminated, but it'll do for now.
Being able to "copy and paste" certain elements of your sketches without having to export them would be really helpful. Or Maybe have a "select tool" that you could pick parts of your sketch that you want to add to another sketch.
