Yes, I've had that happen a few times. I use transform a LOT, and it only happens occasionally. And I've found that, when it does it, it will continue to do it. You have to save your work, force close the app, and reload, and then it will work. I've seen it mentioned to BP in chatter, otherwise I would have messaged him...

(oops....if anyone doesn't know how to force close....double tap your home button, and all of your active apps will show up in the bottom pane. Tap and hold on any app until they start to jiggle. Then Hit 'x' to close...)

Yeah PK, that's exactly what I had to do. What scared me was when I saved the sketch the layer still disappeared, and would not come back after loading! I finally forced closed the app and it all came back!

Yeah....layers and the layer preview panes are really wonky right now. Often my preview pane shows either the wrong layer altogether, or just miscellaneous fragments. Or sometimes, a layer that is blank will show that it has another layers image on it. Crazy!

Me too guys. I thought I had completely lost a sketch so started the whole thing over after closing the app, and force rebooting my iPhone (a force reboot is when you hold down the home button and the on off button continuously but do not 'slide to power off'. Leave device off for a minute and then turn back on). Now the freaky part, about 12 hours later the sketch I thought was totally lost in any kind of usable condition was completely normal again...

On the bright side the second sketch was way better than the first one

I do that all the time Wendy. I get upset about the first sketch, but then I just say. "It was practice, you can do even better this next time" and I usually do.

This has happened to me too. And sometimes, an undo command leaves behind some smudges of what you just undid...

Those "remnants" of the vector tool are what I see happening most often. I see it every time I sketch. Even when set on "erase"

It hasn't become a big problem, but it does require some strategic "covering up" sometimes!

I've noticed loads of bugs too lately when I draw... I too have to force close the app at times. What is happening!? :(

Me too! When I try to merge something - it disappears, so I have to hit the back button to make it reappear - then I have found that if I copy down and merge agin - its fine - but a big pain in the butt!

Same problems happening for me on my iPhone-vector remnants, disappearing layer when I transform, all of the above. Not a huge problem the remnants can be covered up and if u close the app you should get the layer back 😁💜✌

Hey guys, I have this problem too. It is a new issue and it happens with both transform and filters, the layer will disappear.
I have done is this, when I transform/filter (and the layer disappears), hit the back arrow (undo), grab a blank layer, copy down, (copy, I like to be safe, I have not tried merge at this step), apply your transform/ filter to the new layer, delete the old layer. This has worked for me every time.
Extra steps I know but better than shutting it down I think.

It's hard not to be sad that people come and people go... especially when they feel like family. There's some old saying, if you love a bird you set it free and sometimes they fly home again. Pretty sure I seriously mashed that up but I like to think you know the potato I was going for...

It helps bp a lot if you can send him crash reports. I did that a few times with my IPad 1, and he squashed those bugs. They never showed up after that.
