Silene polypetala (syn. Silene catesbaei) is a rare species of flowering plant in the pink family known by the common names eastern fringed catchfly and fringed campion. It is native to Georgia and northern Florida in the United States. It is threatened by the loss and degradation of its habitat.It is a federally listed endangered species of the United States.
The main threat to the species is the loss of its habitat. In Georgia some populations have been endangered from logging and excavation activities, resulting in habitat fragmentation.
