I wish I knew how to make my portraits more interesting. I love to recreate the beautiful faces I see, the muses , the smiles ,the eyes and emotion. But it’s still just simple portraits. Not quite realistic, not stylized. I’m trying to find that place in my art. The place where what I create is my own, less of a dependence on the actual reference but still recognizable. In the last few years, I’ve worked to improve, but there’s no story in them now. It should be a way to relax and have that sense of joy of completing a piece. I’m so lost right now trying to decide how to find that place again.

What makes a portrait interesting?

What makes you happy about your art and wanting to continue with a style?

Do you post everything you draw? Or do you self edit ; only posting what you feel is your very best of your best ?
