The Indiana Jones movies were inspired by the serials that would play at the movie theaters before the feature on Saturday afternoons in the 1930's and 40's...they were ususlly pulp action shorts that would end with a cliffhanger and were very popular especially with adolesencent boys, George Lucas being one of them. quickly made and starring little known actors, they could be considered "B" movies of a sort. BTW, the original choice to play the part of Indiana Jones was Tom Selleck, who declined due to prior commitment, so it was offered to Harrison Ford. Hope you enjoy!
