Revamped this homage to Renee Magritte for the poetry compo, was going to make something different but this poem i wrote fit perfectly with this. the poem was inspired by a line i heard in a song in the movie "worlds greatest dad"..... "I hope that I become a ghost." by the band Deadly Syndrome (thank you Snick).
My adapted poem is about my dear dog Lucy who developed cancer and stopped eating and was in horrible pain, i had to take her in to be put to sleep she was so weak. Many times over the years sweet Lucy was my only friend and every day she was my best friend and i feel very alone without her, and miss her every day. It was so sad, she got very sick at the end. Anyways i wanted to make this a fitting tribute to her and it made me feel a little better. thanks heart for the opportunity to express this, it happened recently and im still not over it, but this compo gave me a chance to get this out. thanks again.
