I'm just a legally blind mom who is dabbling in the hobby of digital art. I'll add more as I think of it. :3
~Linkin Park has been my favorite band for 15 years. .... I suddenly feel old....
~I used to breed and show rabbits. I'm on hiatus right now due to starting a family and finding a more appropriate living situation. I still attend shows when I can because those are my people. ❤️
~I l LOVE Pokémon. That also reminds me that I'm old.
~I am an ally.
Bonus backstory! Yay!
My mom has always been an amazing artist. She has done so many incredible water color landscapes and pet portraits. Recently, she's been experimenting with some interesting abstract animal designs. She's very talented.
I've always wanted to be as talented as she is. My biggest hurdle has always been my vision. I am legally blind from albinism. Art on most physical media has never come out how I want so I gave up in high school. Recently my husband and I were searching high and low for a hobby for me. I'm a stay-at-home-mom for our amazing 2-year-old son (who is way too smart for his own good lol) but I've been losing my identity and I needed something to bring back the spice in life. I didn't realize how much technology has advanced since I last attempted digital art. So we got an iPad Pro and here I am! I've been "arting" in the evenings while my husband plays games and our kiddo sleeps. It's been a huge help emotionally, like I've had an itch that I can finally scratch.
I felt the need to share this because, to me, being legally blind but still finding a way to do what I love anyway, is a huge deal. I may not be able to drive a car, and I never will, but I sure as heck am finally going to illustrate that children's book I wrote 10 years ago!
